Become a MemberThe more members who join HCC, the stronger our voice becomes in advocating for health rights and supporting consumer voices, as we work towards our vision of equitable, person-centred, quality healthcare for all West Australians.
HCC has three categories of membership – Individual, Organisation and Associate. The Membership period runs from 1st July to 30th June.
Individual membership is free. For Organisational and Associate membership there is a small fee, and invoices are sent out at the beginning of the financial year:

Individual Membership
As an individual member you can:
- Join a strong network of engaged, positive, active consumer representatives
- Receive E-newsletters to find out about workshops & events
- Hear about consumer representative opportunities
- Be put forward for state and national committees as a Consumer Representative
- Share ideas about what works
- Have a vote at our Annual General Meeting
- Put yourself forward to be considered as a Management Committee Member (this is voted on at our AGM)
- Attend events (AGM & End of year Celebrations)

Organisational Membership
An Organisational Member is a community organisation which has a voice and one vote per organisation at Council meetings. The voice and vote of a community organisation is exercised through a nominated representative. Organisational Members are eligible for election to the Management Committee.
As an organisational member you:
- Will receive E-newsletters
- Enjoy discounted attendance for Cultural Competency Workshops
- Are invited to contribute & comment on HCC submissions & policies
- Can ask HCC for support for submissions or initiatives of significance to the member organisation (subject to HCC capacity)
- Have the opportunity to ask HCC to represent the views of specialist organisations in higher level deliberations
- Are eligible for discounted training room hire (subject to availability)
- Have access to partnership opportunities
- Are invited to events (AGM & End of year Celebrations)
Associate Membership
An Associate Member is one of the following:
• Commercial health care organisation;
• Government health care provider;
• Government department or statutory body
As an Associate Member you:
- Will receive E-newsletters
- Enjoy discounted attendance for Cultural Competency Workshops
- Are eligible for discounted training room hire, subject to availability
- Have access to partnership opportunities
- Are invited to events (AGM & End of year Celebrations)
Associate Members have a voice at Council meetings but are not eligible to vote and are not eligible for election to the Management Committee.
